Marie-Luise Borek, founder of Pavão Dourado

Pavão Dourado is Marie-Luise Borek's jewellery — made in small numbers, mostly by hand, in the same house that gives it its name.

She works the way the house does: slowly, with old forms brought back rather than invented, and with gold that keeps the marks of being made. Each piece is finished one at a time.

Guests are welcome to see the work while they stay.
