Where it is
Rua do Fetal, Almoçageme - in Colares, on the western side of the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. Praia da Adraga and Praia Grande are a short drive; Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of mainland Europe, is close by; the palaces of Sintra are around fifteen minutes inland, Cascais around half an hour along the coast, and Lisbon under an hour. What a stay looks like
Mornings are slow: coffee on the terrace, the garden doing its work. Days go to the beach, the palaces or nowhere at all. Evenings are the point - a long table under the trees, food from the neighbourhood, the sauna warm, and the sound of the Atlantic somewhere behind the eucalyptus. How many people does Casa Pavão sleep?
The main house has five bedrooms and three bathrooms and sleeps ten. For gatherings, weddings and retreats, the house and garden hold considerably more people during the day.
Where exactly is the house?
In Almoçageme, Colares, inside the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park - between the palaces of Sintra and the Atlantic beaches, and roughly half an hour from Cascais.
Is there a pool?
Yes - a swimming pool set under old eucalyptus trees in the 3000 m² garden, plus a small Finnish sauna in its own wooden house.
Can we have a private chef?
Yes, optionally. Jivan cooks at the house with produce from our own beds and from local producers, farmers and food artisans nearby.
Can we hold a wedding or a retreat at the house?
Yes. The house was built for gatherings - weddings, retreats, family reunions and workshops are all held here, planned personally with us rather than through an agency.
